After honing our urban homesteading skills living city center in a metropolitan area with a population of over 250,000... we took the next (giant!) step towards making our homestead dream a reality.
In the Spring of 2014, our family of six moved to a circa 1900 home located in a small town in rural Eastern Iowa. Our gardening space has expanded exponentially, and even though hubby disagrees... there is room for more rabbits and chickens as well;)
I am trying to keep our page updated... and are working on settling into our new digs....
After our 300 mile move, with small children and a menagerie of furry family members, we are still a bit frazzled....
However, it was well worth the effort. We love Iowa!!!
